GAIA AG is a research-driven public health company based in Hamburg, Germany. As pioneers in the field of digitalization in healthcare, we provide impetus on important future topics and actively participate in political and social debates. Our core competencies lie in the development of evidence-based digital therapies and innovative care concepts. Our goal is to improve the framework conditions for the digitalization of healthcare in European Union member states and thus promote innovations such as digital health applications. Furthermore, we want to contribute to strengthening patient orientation and optimizing care both regionally and nationally.

EU Legislative Proposals
Our focus is on promoting and further developing digital health solutions in line with relevant EU strategies, such as the EU "Digital Europe" program. In particular, we concentrate on the integration of medical devices and digital therapies (DTx) into healthcare and on adapting regulatory frameworks that promote both innovation and access to digital health solutions in EU member states. Key legislative proposals include the revision of the Medical Device Regulation (MDR) and the further development of the EU Digital Strategy to promote digitalization in healthcare. We advocate for clear and transparent pricing mechanisms and reimbursable digital therapies. GAIA actively pursues the goal of establishing digital therapies at the European level as full components of healthcare and optimizing the corresponding regulatory frameworks.
