EU Supported Forums and Platforms
Founded in 2015, the INC is a relatively young institution in Luxembourg. As the national entity coordinating oncology and cancer patient care activities, it is building partnerships with the European Commission and various European and national institutions. The INC collaborates with governmental entities, hospitals, professional associations, cancer foundations, NGOs, and civil society members. Following a statute amendment, the INC now coordinates infrastructure projects and cancer research initiatives.
Communication Activities
The INC oversees the coordination and implementation of EU policies and recommendations at the national level, mandated by the Ministry of Health and Social Security of Luxembourg. It is involved in implementing measures of Luxembourg's second National Cancer Plan 2020-2026, including developing national guidelines, publishing reports and statistics, and organizing consultative meetings and conferences in oncology, patient care, support, and digitalization. The INC also organizes national communication activities for collaborative EU projects (EU4Health programme).
