Goals
Numalis is a software editing SME with over 20 employees, focused on reliable and efficient software for critical industries. Their technology, stemming from the PhD work of founder Arnault Ioualalen, aims to automatically improve the accuracy of synchronous programs. This research was motivated by industrial incidents in the 1990s (Patriot missile, Sleipner A platform, Ariane 5 rocket).
Today, Numalis addresses reliability issues in embedded computations, particularly in critical contexts and AI. They also develop tools to measure AI literacy and offer consulting services. Their target customers include entities involved in specifying, designing, manufacturing, and marketing products with critical calculations in sectors like Aeronautics, Aerospace, Defense, and Artificial Intelligence.

- Artificial Intelligence initiatives from the European Commission (DG Connect, DG DEFI, and DG Grow).

EU Supported Forums and Platforms
Numalis participates in the DIGITAL EU project: NoLeFa-84.
Communication Activities
Numalis representatives meet with European elected officials and members of DG Connect, DG DEFI, and DG Grow. The purpose of these meetings is to provide perspectives and feedback on the standardization and safety of AI, as well as a potential future certification process (linked with CEN CENELEC, EDA, EASA), in order to influence European regulation concerning AI.
